Explanation: New enemies come in from the top left when you move past (invisible) areas after each of the two bridges, and when an enemy from the top left moves too far downward. The enemy artillery at the top left starts moving downward when you cross the area after the first bridge.
By taking out the artillery at the top left before allowing them to move downward, and then quickly moving up to take out the reinforcements, I can prevent most of the enemies from spawning because no enemy units are able to move downward far enough to trigger them.
