Command Block Tutorial | Setting Player Spawnpoint ( Minecraft 1.9.4, 1.10 or greater)
This is a quick tutorial on how to set the players spawn point permanently on a map!
First,
/scoreboard objectives add spawnpoint dummy
Enter the above command into the chat
Secondly, create a repeating command block with the following command:
/scoreboard players add @a spawnpoint 0
This sets the players score for spawnpoint to 0
Thirdly, create the following chain of command blocks (REMEMBER do not turn this on until all command are entered, you'll regret it)
First: /testfor @p[score_spawnpoint=0]
Then: /tp @p X Y Z coords
Then: /execute @p ~ ~ ~ /spawnpoint @p ~ ~ ~
Then: /scoreboard players add @p spawnpoint 1
Then active this second set of command blocks, and you should teleport to the spawn!
