I have been going through lots of Commodore 64's and so I have ended up with a pile of chips...well, several piles, and so perhaps it is time to double-check some of the VIC video chips so I can ensure that I know what I have that is working and any bad chips can go into the bad chip bag! You must be very patient when taking chips out and swapping them...the pins are delicate...but if you are careful, you can do it without any damage...and even if a pin gets bent, it can often be fixed...just do not do it again...
