Before Prey, Dead Space, Area 51, Alien Saga and other Space Horror Survival Games. There was this game. Project Firestart was ahead of its time for its neat, fluid animation, controls & cutscenes for the Commodore 64. It was quite a pain to keep switching disk, yet I had to stop and re-record to get to the game part. In this game, you’re a lone space secret agent and solider, investigating the cause of mutant outbreak that causes the wreckage of the Prometheus ship. Looking for other survivors of the wreck and battling hordes of mutants, who don’t take kindly of your welcoming aboard.

This game can be difficult, even confusing sometimes (like getting lost), if you’re new to it. You can save your progress and load, wherever you left off. The first time you start is to get much more efficient kind of weapons to deal with these pricks. I didn’t do so well, since it was my first time playing this (no insults). I did manage to get a better rifle than my default rifle (takes four or five shots to kill one…. That’s sucks). I had to end this video before the game over cut-scene. I tried though.
