After the storyline is finished, there are still a couple optional superbosses to check out -- three in total.

The first one is Cutsman, a nice nod back to the original series. Then you have the 2nd-to-main antagonist from Mega Man X7 (an interesting choice to say the least), and lastly the antagonist from Mega Man Battle Network 3.

Each boss has its own rule set, and all are pretty darn hard without being inherently unfair (though a bit random). We highly, highly suggest you check out this free game -- simply search 'Mega Man X8 16-Bit' and you'll be able to play it in its entirety.
