Welcome to Complete in Cast, the official podcast for Complete in Box Video Games. In this episode, we switch gears quite a bit: after reviewing three straight Resident Evil games, we move on to Life is Strange, one of the most complex ‘choose your own adventure’ games out there.

Many will be familiar with the TellTale Adventure games – Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, etc – but Life is Strange really one-ups those in terms of gameplay. Unlike many other adventure games, which feel more like an interactive storybook, Life is Strange gives you multiple options for every encounter, the whole way through.

Life is Strange also involves time travel, so… we’ll have some stuff to say about that. Overall, it’s a rich, deep story, with better-than-expected gameplay. It’s a game that we both enjoyed quite a bit.

As a reminder, we rate each game in six categories: Story, Gameplay, Sound, Graphics/Atmosphere, Fun Factor, and Replayability. Each category is graded out of 10, and an average of all six scores is the total score. To us, a 5 is average, whereas a 7 is a good experience, an 8 is great, etc.

Enjoy!

Final Scores:

Spenser
Story – 8.5
Gameplay - 8
Sound – 9.25
Graphics/Atmosphere – 8.5

Replayability - 6

TOTAL: 8

Parker
