UPDATE: I FUDGED UP THE HANDLING WITHOUT KNOWING. THE GUI EDITOR I USED HAD A FEW FIELD LABELS SWAPPED. IT'S ONLY BY COINCIDENCE THE CARS HANDLE WELL AT ALL.

I WILL CREATE A NEW VIDEO AND SHARE A NEW LINK FOR THE CUSTOM HANDLING FILE. PLEASE DISREGARD EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS VIDEO.
=================================================================================
An ongoing year-long effort for changing GTA IV's handling to something more modern has culminated in a public, if still work-in-progress, release of my custom handling.dat. This video goes over the practical changes to the vehicles and explains some of the rationale behind the alterations done.

All road going vehicles and boats have been adjusted. The goal is for a reactive, semi-authentic and fun driving system. Some vehicle aspects cannot be properly simulated through handling file modification, and require extra scripting, such as reasonable braking and cornering from high speeds. Other vehicle aspects are completely inaccessible due to the engine's working, like differential properties.

Regardless, with the limitations in place, the custom handling.dat and V-style Handling addon are an overhaul to IV's normal handling system.

I did not attempt on V because 1) I don't have interest in it anymore, and 2) its physics are further simplified and arcade-tuned, in spite of a slightly more advanced and feature rich handling file.

I also did not do handling changes for EFLC. Depending on feedback, I may attempt to adjust for those games as well.
