A progress report on a piece I'm working on before I go back to work. It's in F sharp minor and in a 6/8 time signature.

I've begun with the strings and written a simple melody and counter-melody for 1st and 2nd violins, with the rest of the strings providing the rhythm and spelling out the chords.

I'm up to scale runs for the 1st violins over placeholder chords on the other string instruments, when it goes to the head and then to coda.

So, there's the rest of this section to finish to have the main theme completed, and then the other instruments to write. A lot to do!
