Here is a written guide if you learn better that way

*Start the night by loading in all zones (left door, right door, closet, then bed)
*Nightmare spawns at 20 seconds so finish loading zones around 17 seconds
*Nightmare has a 1/10 chance to fake a laugh every 10 second interval
*If Nightmare laughs anytime between a 10 second interval then it is a real laugh no matter what
*There is a chance a real laugh can be on a 10 second interval, in that case you have to react to that given case, but will most likely result in a game over
*For the most part a laugh on a 10 second interval should be discarded as fake
*If Nightmare goes in the closet for a real laugh, keep playing
*If Nightmare goes on the bed then keep track of the time the laugh started and the time he left the bed
*If Nightmare laughed at 1:12 and you cleared him off the bed at 1:17 then subtract the final digits in the seconds place to get 5 seconds
*Use 5 seconds to shift the fake laugh interval by 5 seconds
*Now instead of a fake laugh being every 10 seconds from 0, it will start from 5
*Meaning that instead of fake laughs being 10, 20, 30, or 40, it will be 15, 25, 35, or 45
*This only applies if the first real laugh was on the bed because Nightmare can only real laugh twice
*If the first real laugh was in the closet then don't worry about time because every laugh after the next real laugh will be fake
*Even if the second real laugh was on the bed then don't keep track of time because every single laugh after that will be fake
