Configure and Capture Multiple Frames | Graphics Frame Analyzer Deep Dive | Part 2 | Intel Software
This video demonstrates fundamental stream capture capabilities in Graphics Monitor that aids in the configuration and future analysis of stream capture files for multi-frame profiling in Graphics Frame Analyzer.
Streams are continuous sets of frames that can be used to analyze issues like sporadic drops in the FPS of your application. The Defer Stream Capture option allows you to start a capture manually by pressing the L key on your keyboard and stop the capture by pressing the same key. The two keyframe options allow for faster playback time during profiling including the “create keyframe at time interval” option and the “create keyframe at keypress” option. The two screenshot options aid in stream capture navigation by creating image thumbnails that can be viewed while inspecting multiple frames in Graphics Frame Analyzer. These screenshot options include the “create screenshot every x frames” and the “create screenshot every x milliseconds” options. The “HUD Layer” option enables the heads-up display while recording a stream capture displaying the graphics device, graphics API, application resolution, monitor scale and the frames per second of your application. The “Metrics Layer” option enables the collection of metrics based on your host systems hardware. To test these options, select the Stream option from the drop-down next to the start button then press the start button to run your application in Graphics Monitor.
