Speaking on how Congress' mentality symbolizes that of the 'Muslim League', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Congress' anti-Constitutional tendencies aim at providing reservation on a religious basis for vote-bank politics." He said that they always envisaged providing 15% reservation to minorities at the cost of the reservation provided to SC-ST-OBC, and the same has been reiterated by them in their 2009 and 2014 manifestos, disregarding the Indian constitution. He added, "In Karnataka, Congress has provided OBC reservation to minorities depriving the OBC community of their rights."
