Conquer The World in VR With CIVILIZATION 7 VR! // CIV 7 VR Quest 3 Gameplay
432Turn Based Strategy games are PERFECT for VR and CIVILIZATION 7 VR is here to prove that, it's a full port of the newest entry in the incredibly successful PC franchise, completely intact & playable in an immersive VR or Mixed Reality environment! I have never played a Sid Meiers Civilisation game so CIV 7 VR on Quest 3 is my very first experience with this franchise and I walked away from my first impressions gameplay feeling pretty positive about this port; it looks great, performs well, its FULL of content, you can play multiplayer and it includes a fantastic mixed reality mode. However the lofty price point (£49.99/$59.99), some slightly unintuitive controls and UI that doesn't always feel well made for a VR experience might turn some potential VR users away from this VR strategy game. The campaigns I've played so far also felt a little restrictive and reviews for the flat version of Civilisation 7 seem to echo this sentiment with many reviewers mentioning the lack of freedom to build and grow in whatever way you'd like when compared to past Civilization games. Overall it's great to see this kind of huge IP taking a chance on a native VR version and I'm confident fans of turn based strategy will sink dozens (hundreds?) of hours in Civilization 7 VR on Quest 3 despite it's shortcomings.
This Civilization 7 VR gameplay / Civilization 7 Quest 3 gameplay was captured natively on the Quest 3 and represents the current pre-release build of the game, any bugs and issues may not be present when the game launches for Meta Quest 3 later this month (April 2025).
