Conservatives LOVE Dune 2 for NOT being WOKE (they don't understand it)
4,657Dune Part II has released to widespread critical acclaim across the political spectrum. Denis Villeneuve has expressed that the franchise is about capitalism and colonialism - which all sounds very woke. But this hasn't seem to detract from Conservative enjoyment. In fact, they haven't even seem to register this fact, nor do they care that the book was inspired by anti-colonial resistance movements by Muslims in the Middle East.
Conservatives do have some criticisms though, specifically towards Zendaya's Chani but other than that - no wokeness to be found in Dune Part II.
In this video we look at the politics of the Dune films and books and ask why conservatives don't care or understand about political themes that seem to go against their own values.
