Based on the the WCW Monday Nitro tv show, WCW Nitro is a wrestling game developed by Inland Productions and published by THQ. The game released initially in January of 1998 in the US for the PlayStation with a European release in June of that year.

The Windows release of the game in 1999 as well as the Nintendo 64 version of the game received an updated roster based on the WCW/nWo Thunder game released in 1999, the Nintendo 64 version of the game however does not feature the games FMVs.
