Based on the TV cartoon series and the Hasbro toy line, Transformers Beast Wars Transmetals is a 3D fighting game developed by Locomotive (N64) and WAVEDGE (PS1) with players choosing either the Maximals or Predacons in 1v1 battles with players able to transform in robot, beast and vehicle modes.

The game was released in Japan on both the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation in 1999 with US releases of the game on both consoles coming in 2000. The game was not well received on either platform
