2Following 1996's debut entry in the series, Dead or Alive 2 is the second entry in the Dead or Alive series and the third overall following 1997's limited edition release of Dead or Alive for the Sega Saturn.
Developed by Team Ninja and Tecmo, Dead or Alive 2 was released initially in 1999 for arcades with a console release of the game coming in the following year. The game was released on both PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast worldwide. A Us release of the game for the PlayStation 3 in 2015 via the PlayStation Network would also occur.
