Console Fighting Games of 2000 - Ultimate Fighting Championship
2The first video game iteration of the Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Promotion. Developed by Fighters Destiny developer Anchor, Inc. and long-established studio Opus Corp.
Released in 2000 for both the Dreamcast and PlayStation, Ultimate Fighting Championship was released in Europe and the US for Dreamcast with a US release on PlayStation. Additional releases for Dreamcast in Japan and PlayStation in Europe and Japan would follow in 2001.
The early 2000s would see several UFC-licenced games releases but it was not until 2009 that releases for this IP would really pick up steam with consistent releases from 2009 onwards to the most recent release in October of 2023.
