0Super Formation Soccer II is the sequel to 1991 released Super Formation Soccer the game is largely the same game as its predecessor except for a new 4-player mode and the addition of a battery backup.
Developed and published by prolific late 80s to the end of the 90s developer Human Entertainment, Super Formation Soccer was released exclusively on the SNES in June of 1993, unlike its predecessor which was released worldwide, Super Formation Soccer II would be a Japanese-only release.
Super Formation Soccer proved quite popular upon release with the game topping the Famitsu sales charts for launch month in June and the following month of July. Three more entries would be released in the series over the coming three years, culminating in 1996 with Super Formation Soccer 96 World Club Edition.
