Control Windows Updates With One Click
If you are on Windows 10 or Windows 11 and want to Pause Windows updates without going into the registry or group policy then the Windows Personalization Utility (WPU)
1. Disable updates – This will suspend updates until December 31, 2051
2. Enable updates
3. Disable telemetry
4. Clear Update Cache – This deletes the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
5. Enable or disable the update services

Note: While this repository allows you to disable Windows Updates, we recommend you manually run Windows Updates every few months to ensure that your system has the latest patches. By completely refusing to install Windows Updates, you may be exposed to potential security vulnerabilities.

This script is meant to stop Windows from updating and then automatically restarting your system when you least expect it, and puts you back in control.
