This video presents a step-by-step tutorial to control the OBS Studio from a smartphone using the Touch Portal software and app. This software is the best alternative to Elgato Stream Deck. It covers almost all the major functions served by the Stream Deck. We need to install Touch Portal software from the official website and an OBS plugin called OBS Websocket from the OBS website. The Touch Portal app should also be downloaded to the smartphone (android/iOS) which is to be used as the remote control for the OBS. A connection between the OBS Studio and the Touch Portal software is established from settings. New action buttons are added in the Touch Portal software and then configured to trigger the desired action whether a scene selection, changing the volume of different audio sources or going to a URL, etc. This button can be customized by naming it choosing a specific icon for it. The smartphone app detects the software automatically and links to it. The same button configuration is displayed on the smartphone app and now the remote control of OBS Studio is ready to use. The smartphone can also be connected via USB cable to ensure a stable and strong connection.
