This was a cheap wall mount moon from Goodwill that was white only with a horrible hot-spot from the LED's and it ran on 4xAA batteries. After a conversion, this moon now runs on 4xAA and USB power. The basics of this conversion can be used for other projects and may inspire some other creative ways to use 5 volt LED strips.
There is a mistake when power testing the LED light, I said 800mA on a .08 amp reading, that is wrong, it is 80 microamps. Also I have been informed that USB A cords are harder to find, you can use USB micro, mini or C but I prefer the USB A cord size for it's strength.
