Sometimes cooking for five people tends to make the amount of ingredients too big to fit into one stock pot. This meal would have gone around just nicely by slimming down the recipe to 3 sliced carrots, 3 stalks of celery, 1 small or medium onion, the one whole chicken, and only one package of egg noodle, plus the seasonings added here. For an extra strong chicken flavor, I also suggest adding 2 to 3 chicken bullion cubes and 1/2 tsp. butter.
