The Corinth is a well-known shotgun in Wraframe which packs one hell of a punch so naturally when the Prime variant was announced I was excited. Turns out I did not get excited for nothing and the Corinth Prime is one hell of a weapon when build correctly.
The Buckshot or primary fire mode has remained the same in terms of damage, critical chance and critical damage but the status chance seen a massive fifty percent increase from six percent to nine percent. Keep in mind this is a per pellet status chance increase which is more than significant.
Air Burst or secondary fire mode has received more serious tweaks. It now consumes four ammo per shot but the weapon has a magazine of twenty so you can still get five air bursts out of the weapon. The Projectile needs to be manually detonated now by pressing the secondary fire button a second time. The damage has seen a massive increase to match the ammunition it consumes and it also got its status chance increased to fifty percent, up from twenty eight.
While the magazine has seen a huge increase to twenty up from five the reload speed also has seen a big increase to three whole second for the entire magazine so the per shell reload is gone now.
The base build for the Corinth Prime will comprise of the mandatory mods plus the usual sixty-sixty viral mods in combination with Hunter Munitions since the weapon can critical and the baseline IPS does not allow for a lot of Slash applications. From this point onwards you can tweak the build with mods such as Laser Sight or Shrapnel shot depending on your play-style. Corrosive remains overpowered and cannot win even when shooting Ferrite Armor. This and the lack of build diversity being just two of the massive downsides of the lackluster changes brought with the first Mainline patch of twenty-twenty.
Riven mods for the Corinth prices are also another hot topic. My recommendation is Critical Chance followed by Multishot and damage or Critical Damage. Minus impact would be ideal but take whatever harmless negative you can get for your Corinth Riven.
I'm happy to report that the weapon does not only look very good but it also performs very well as it can easily shred high level targets with very little effort. The Corinth Prime is certainly a winner. A glorious weapon that should be apart of everybody's arsenal. Highly Recommend!
