I don't know why we didn't do this before, it's a nice time save and the waver behaves really nicely in closed spaces. First example has waver going to the left, second to the right, but you can jump at more or less the same spot in either instance, just be careful to run into the backside of the waver so that you don't trigger his charge attack when you don't want to. The waver does 26 damage, so don't die doing this.

Note: When the waver starts going to the right it actually doesn't fly high enough to clip, but if you lure it right after it hits the right wall, it does fly high enough.

Tip: Use the floor as a visual cue for where to jump onto the frozen waver, the background moves inconsistently and the jump is precise enough that it makes a difference.
