I tried to replicate this in the level editor but couldn't? Me and some others have theories, but for now we're at a loss. 😂
Seeing the phase 2 skele squad act like normal skeletons is so cursed.

Edit: We got a dev explanation!! Hopefully I understand this well enough to summarize it.
Context is when the golden lute weapon attacks, it makes a damage radius around the position you moved to and a damage radius around your start position after that. And apparently the NecroDancer tries to teleport randomly on hit like normal before checking if he should start phase 2.

So what happened was I hit him at my target destination, and he tried to teleport next to my start position and got hit AGAIN— doing 2 damage in one turn and skipping the 2nd phase. Which was only possible because I dashed him at max range, so my start position was a valid teleport spot.

So I couldn't replicate it because I got crazy lucky for this to happen at all! And a sample size of 2 replication attempts wasn't enough. 😂
