Valve Announces Counter Strike Global Offensive
There were some recent teases for the next Counter-Strike game, and now it's official: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been announced by Valve for release on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade in early 2012. Wasn't expecting that at all -- awesome! (Jordan Devore)

Saints Row The Third New Freefalling Gameplay Video
THQ has released the above video for Saints Row: The Third which takes you through the game's second mission, "Freefalling." The Saints have been taken captive by The Syndicate aboard a luxury jet following the heroes' recent bank heist and the conversation is less than friendly. Once the bullets start flying, the player has to make their way through to the back of the plane and jump out with a chute. Then there's a bit of backtracking which, while normally loathsome, is handled with impressive style. You'll see what I mean. (Conrad Zimmerman)

Google Plus Gets Games
It's real. Pandas and gems and diamonds and puzzles and all that thug sh*t is on Google+ now. Real talk. It's a gradual roll-out, so you'll see a Games section pop up in your account when they're ready for you to get all up in that. (Dale North)

No Melee in Fable The Journey Because it's on Rails
Peter Molyneux has confirmed that his definitely-not-on-rails game Fable: The Journey will not feature melee combat, focusing instead on projectile-based magic attacks. Not that this is going to be an on-rails shooter or anything, because it isn't. Except when it is. Or not. Perhaps. (Jim Sterling)

Retail Battlefield 3 Copies Won't Work without Origin
Not keen on using Origin? Think you'll avoid downloading another proprietary service by playing a retail copy of the game? Think again, loser!
