In this video I walk you through my process for not only creating a cute little baby dragon but also how I warm up when drawing my concepts. I first go through a few rough sketches of studying various popular cartoon characters before working on my own concept. I hope this gives you some insight into how you can create your own fun character designs while pulling inspiration from other ideas!
This character is called "Tender" and he is a baby dragon that is scared of fire. He is also not too fond of heights. This is for a children's book that will teach them about courage and dealing with fears.
