Clayground Open Beta will launch for free in Fall 2025 on the Quest and Steam platforms. We'll take some months leading up to it to ensure mostly stable performance, a high standard for security features, and next-gen VR graphics.
But the number of games and features is up to you. It relies on how much money from Patreon we have to pay some contractors or employees. And with whatever team we can afford, we will focus on games and toys that allow you to find your fun and play something new each time you return to Clayground.
Clayground has the potential to be a huge game with something for everyone. I hope to be working on more updates 5 years from now. So in addition to fixing all the major issues and making the game easy and comfortable to use for everyone, we'll keep making new parks, games, toys, cosmetics, and in-game events.

I'm excited to finally show Clayground's first game mode! We started with what seemed like the simplest idea at first, which was a race game where you're responsible for moving the starting line, checkpoints, and finish line!
Development ended up taking us months longer than I thought, and I have to question whether it was worth it to invest so many resources into one game mode when we could have spread our efforts into other smaller games (or mini games).
In the end, this is the path I put Clayground on, and we still have just enough time to make a spectacular open beta launch this Fall! Between our bright and colorful plasticine claymation worlds, the casual/hangout/social VR gameplay, and the multiplayer engine driving it all.
Photon Fusion 2 Shared mode is enabling us to make an incredibly large game by being efficient, allowing us to use Unity's rigidbody physics on objects, and being open to all kinds of designs for upcoming game ideas.
