A credit note, or credit memo, is a document issued to a customer that notifies them that they have been credited a certain amount.

Credit notes are mainly used in situations such as when a customer returns the goods or services provided due to any reason, when the customer by mistake makes an overpayment, or when the initial price on the invoice was a mistake.

You can create a credit note from scratch by going to Accounting ‣ Customers ‣ Credit Notes, and by clicking on Create.
