Here's an interesting PS2 game I picked up on the cheap recently. Great controls, very good visuals, and a few features that absolutely cripple the whole thing. Trying to keep it short:

1. Blue panthers/dogs appear frequently after a bit. They steal a random item and run away. This hit is nearly always a knockdown and the endgame throws entire packs at you. The item is then gone forever. ANY unequipped item.

2. Broken weapons are gone forever. Not so bad in itself, but when an excellent weapon in perfect condition breaks in one untelegraphed shot, it'll piss you off.

3. No-ping attacks. Tons of enemies have them. These also damage weapons. They have no wind up and often no delay afterward.

Crimson Tears has too much style to ignore so I made a video anyway.
