Game of Thrones: Legends, a title that promises epic battles and strategic gameplay, has chosen a peculiar path to promote its product: by having one of its biggest stars deliver lines that border on cringeworthy.  

There's something inherently jarring about seeing the man who held the North together with a steely gaze now spouting catchphrases about collecting cards and leveling up. It's like watching a lion perform in a circus. While it's undoubtedly a smart business move to leverage Harington's star power, the execution feels off. The disconnect between the gritty, complex world of Westeros and the cheerful, overly simplistic world of mobile gaming advertising is stark.
