Here it is. Crisbell, Cristopher, JKR721, Zas, and a young Kari Hudo go up against the Time Empress herself. This is arguably the hardest boss fight in the game, understandable considering the reign of terror she's placed upon these lands. Willhelm sacrificed himself so the Time Empress could be harmed. We cannot let that death be in vain!

The Time Empress's difficulty comes from three factors. Two of those are moves: Perfect Cure, which heals the Time Empress for 190 HP every turn; and Time Compression, which immediately brings every party member's HP to 1. The third factor is that she has a very high Speed, such that under normal conditions, even with the best upgrades, assuming you're not horribly overleveled, the Time Empress will likely take two or three turns for every turn each particular party member can take. Due to the quantity of turns in which she heals, there is no realistic way you can deal enough damage to keep up with Perfect Cure. It's also is a permanent effect on the Time Empress.

The only way you'll beat the Time Empress is to counter all three of these. The counter to her Speed is to find a way to go even faster than Time Empress, and in doing so, you can create a counter for Perfect Cure. There may be other ways, but my way is as follows:
1. Equip the Light Armored Boots onto Crisbell. This allows her to always take the first turn in a battle. This alone will not be enough to keep up with the Time Empress, however.
2. Crisbell will go first. Use it to cast Celeritas on herself. This will increase Crisbell's Speed to match that of the Time Empress.
3. The Time Empress will use Perfect Cure on her first turn. Crisbell will move next thanks to Celeritas.
4. Cast Regression on the Time Empress. She is vulnerable to this move, and it sets her back in time to before she cast Perfect Cure.

After this, the Time Empress will stop using Perfect Cure for some time. For Time Compression, we should keep Zas in battle. Without Willhelm, Zas is the only party member we currently have able to heal the entire party at once, and Heal Roulette, if spun correctly, will restore everyone enough that they can keep fighting against the Time Empress. Each time the Time Empress uses Time Compression, Zas should use her next turn to respond with a full-team Heal Roulette. In order for Zas to keep up with the Time Empress, Crisbell should cast Celeritas on Zas too.

Be sure to restore Celeritas on Crisbell whenever it goes away. The Time Empress will attempt to use Perfect Cure again later, and when she does, you must ensure Crisbell gets to move at least once, in order to use Regression, before the Time Empress can take another turn and thus deprive Crisbell of her only chance to erase the effect. Putting Celeritas back on Zas will also ensure she's always ready to put the whole team back to normal after a use of Time Compression.

The third character to bring in can be either Cristopher or K. Cristopher knows a lot of solid magic attacks and can do Syncro Moves with Crisbell. K, on the other hand, deals ferocious physical damage but is both prone to overheating and doesn't synchronize with Crisbell quite as well. Kari Hudo is a possibility, but she had just joined the team, and there haven't been many chances to figure her out or bring out the potential in her, so I don't recommend her. Her Soularium can be used as a general use physical weapon when she has no other options, but it's weak and ineffective, and it really should only be used as a last resort should none of her enemy soul moves be a good idea.

For the record, the Time Empress has 3811 HP. That's a lot to overcome.

There were some comments here prior that the Time Empress may be Crisbell's mother. Upon the Time Empress's defeat, this is what Crisbell thought too, but the Time Empress denies it. Before she can outright tell Crisbell though, her strength weakens and she urgently has business to tend to at those ruins. You know, the ones Crisbell says are "like the ones near Narim," which comes up in Parts 2, 3, 7, and 13. Whatever she had planned though, K seems overcome with a desire to punch the Time Empress, killing her and stopping her from it.

Though most of the team decides they ought to go home and live in peace, K feels like something isn't right. You might have noticed a lot of plot threads have not been resolved either. What are these ruins, and what was the Time Empress planning with them? Why do the Crystallis Ruins look like the Ancient Ruins under Cinder Town? Why does the Lady in the stained glass window in Crystallis look just like the Time Empress? What is her relation to Crisbell, if any? What is that calamity with explosions in the towns associated with the Time Empress Crisbell keeps seeing visions of? And why did K mindlessly attack the Time Empress? The game is not done yet--all these questions and more will be answered as the Crystallis chapter of the game continues...
