AW YEAH BABY IT'S MARIO KART TIME!! The Nintendo Switch 2 is now out and we're finally free to roam this world! It's crazy to think that back in 2014, the first remix arrangement I ever created completely on my own was for the brand new Mario Kart 8 on Wii U that had just come out!...
...THAT WAS 11 YEARS AGO??!??!??
Quarter-life crises aside, one of the immediate standout tunes from the MKW direct was the theme to Crown City! I don't know if I could ever surpass the bliss that is that insane talkbox lead in the original song, but I simply needed an excuse to listen to this song 80 more times so I took a stab at remixing it! I actually made most of this remix based on what we could hear in directs and the Nintendo treehouse presentation! In the footage the presenters got hit with a blue shell that made it REALLY hard to hear what the melody sounded like towards the end, but luckily I took so dang long to finish this remix that the game is now out and I can fix up most of the inconstancies!
