Crucial T705 Limited Edition - how to install, setup and test
71Here I'm showing you how to install, setup and test the Crucial T705 NVMe SSD. This is a PCIe gen 5 drive, which runs at an insane read write speed. But it's important that you're aware of a few different things to ensure you get the right speeds.
First you'll need to use a compatible motherboard with a PCIe gen 5 NVMe m.2 port. Like the Asrock Z790 motherboard used here.
Secondly you may also need to tweak some of the motherboard's BIOS settings to see the drive and to ensure it's running at the right speed. So I'd recommend downloading these bits of software to check:
