For centuries the Elves of Quel'Thalas remained in their pocket of the world rarely seeking conquest. After witnessing the barbarity of the Human Kingdoms fighting against the Orcish Horde, King Anasterian has decided that his Kingdom must take a more active role in the world. Shortly after winning a small war against the Zul'aman, Anasterian was shocked to see the Kingdom of Lordaeron collapsing from a plague of undead. The Elven King knew that the days of the Human dominance was coming to an end and that for his people to survive they must become conquerors. As the Scourge battled the Human Kingdoms Quel'Thalas sharpened there weapons conquering the neighboring tribes near to them and building up their armies. When the scourge finally turned it's attention towards Quel'Thalas, the Elves were ready. Standing alone against the onslaught of undead the Elves gained a new sense of pride becoming the first nation to stand against the undead horde and win. Encouraged by their victories, the Elves began a series of wars in Eastweald against the remaining Human and Undead nations taking as much territory as they could. This inevitably put them on a path to war against the Archdemon Archimonde. Archimonde had fought several wars and made many enemies both within the Horde, Alliance and many independent nations. With declaration of war to conquer what territory that Quel'Thalas owned in Lordaeron those nations chose to rise up. Although the Demon forces outnumbered Quel'Thalas two to one the Elves would this time not stand alone. After dozens of battles Archimonde was finally defeated. Dying and banished the Demons were gone. Quel'Thalas had gained a great deal of territory in it's wars and now eyed the Demons former holdings in Altrac and former Horde territory in Zul'Aman. With the Scourge forces weekend, the Horde still battered from wars against the Demons and Qirajid and the Alliance Consisting of only Dwarves, Gnomes and Kul Tiras, Now is the time for the Elves to Rise and a new Empire to take it's place at the top of the world.
