Crypt Of The Necrodancer - Coda Zone 2 Cleared Using A Controller
0Death Metal fight starts at 4:09 , it took me some time to come up with a plan to beat him quickly.
I've been playing this character for about 35 hours of game time now, i've been making fantastic progress so far. I've decided to push myself further to see if it is possible to complete this character using a controller, a lot of people have said it is impossible due to the strain it puts on your thumb, but I say otherwise.
Coda is essentially Monk, Aria & Bolt merged into one character, who are all difficult characters in their own right. This basically means the rules for Coda are that everything moves in double speed, one hit from any enemy will kill you, missing a single beat or inputting too fast will kill you, touching any of the gold that any enemy drops will kill you & you will be stuck with the most basic weapon for the entire run. Unless you play it for yourself, it's difficult to fully understand just how difficult this task truly is.
The main reason that this it thought to be impossible with a controller is because of Death Metal. The song that you must move in time with during this boss battle runs at 350BPM, which equates to almost 6 inputs a second. This puts a massive strain on your thumb while playing using a controller but as you can see with careful planning it's definitely possible.
This video shows my first completion of Zone 2, once all 4 zones are complete I will be aiming to complete All Zones Mode for the "Impossible, Right?" trophy. Enjoy!
