It has been two years since I released my first big project covering the first Crysis game on this channel: a long retrospective examining one of my favourite FPS games of all time. To celebrate the growth of this channel, and to keep the promise I made in that video, it's time to pay Crysis Warhead a visit.

I have fond memories of this standalone expansion to Crysis. It was developed by the Hungarian division of Crytek, who released it only around 10 months after the release of the first Crysis game in September of 2008. In a lot of ways, Crytek Hungary really understood what made the first game work as a First Person Shooter; incorporating those elements into their expansion. However, as we are about to find out, the game overall could have probably benefited from some more development time.
