Please Like, Subscribe, and Share. At the end of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum Tour, we stumbled upon a Cuban Refugee Rafts exhibit. I initially believed the exhibit to be remnants of beach racing automobiles and possible toy rafts of the former residents of Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. That belief was clarified and corrected by some kind individuals that were also on tour that day. The exhibits were more akin to bitter-sweet reminders of the plight and desperation some face daily in search of freedom. Desperation, despair, and often the ultimate sacrifice, mingled with stories of heroic rescues and success presented a very profound image of how much we should cherish all our freedoms. Our heart goes out to all those affected by such a sacrificial journey.
