There's a level of absurdity in tweaking the Halo rules in custom games, once reached, where everything just disappears and doesn't matter and you're in this blender of chaos and enjoying whatever random hilarious thing is happening on your screen.
Your death is basically guaranteed to happen dozens of times, but you don't even know how it happens or care about it when it does because of the instant respawns. All of sorts of objects are literally flying all around you because of the reduced gravity, including other players, and you're just sitting there uncontrollably giggling like a madman.
At that point, the amount of fun you're having is the sort provided only by very few scenarios in very few games. And that's why the glory of this legendary franchise lives on, even more than 22 years after its inception.
