This can be further improved and polished because of right now it's something I did in a flash to test-see if it can be done. However in my opinion the cone area is rather small and not worth having it visually represented + not to mention that it's dynamic and depends totally on the target's positioning.
I for one would simply keep the small indicator beam to show off who you are charging (btw, both the small beam and the cone are allies only - so enemies wont see them) and add a visual effect when hitting the target that matches the cone.
Something like a cleave effect behind the target. Anyway, I will see if I have time to muster a few custom effects for Legionnaire on all of his spells to give it a bit more "impact" - visually speaking.
