Cutting it fine in Kao the Kangaroo 🦘⏲#shorts
4With the remainder of the budget I allowed for CTRumble, I got the new DLC for Kao the Kangaroo. The main game had its flaws, namely the strange momentum physics, the dull level design, the imitation Toys for Bob graphics, being very short and the many glitches.
The DLC has fixed some of the glitches though introduced a few new ones but is surprisingly even more frustrating thanks to the timed sections of the levels which someone has decided will take a heart away if you fail them. Unfortunately, your lives and number of hearts do not transfer from the main game to the DLC.
Anyway, here is something interesting that can happen with the timed sections: if you are timed out but were in range of a checkpoint (which takes the form of a crystal in the DLC), Kao will react like he died as usual but will carry on regardless which caught me off guard. This could be intended but is more likely to be an oversight considering the way it is out - Kao acting as though he's just died and the screen fading to black.
