In order to get a solid feel for how the user is going to interact with the instrument panel, I decided to cut out a blank that I can use to make sure the reach zones are correct for the cockpit as well as verify that various pilot positions won't cause a problem with the lower edge of the panel. The last thing you want when you're about to blow a Me-109 out of the air is to bang your knee on the instrument panel. :)
