In this video, we benchmark Cyberpunk 2077 using the Sunshine and Moonlight streaming combo on WiFi 6, and compare it to running the game directly on a monitor. We also test the impact of different DLSS and streaming codecs.

Key Findings:
Streaming through Sunshine and Moonlight results in a performance hit of around 6-7%.
Sunshine-moonlight is very good for streaming 4k 60fps through Wifi without noticeable lag.
AV1 support for Moonlight and Sunshine is still experimental, which may explain why it is underperforming compared to HEVC. It is also possible that the GPU is using only the AV1 encoder for two streams, which could have made the AV1 + HEVC configuration faster. If you know other possible reasons, let us know!
We find the difference between DLSS Balanced and Performance to be negligible, unless we carefully examine the image or pixel peep.
DLSS Performance mode can improve frame rates by around 20% compared to DLSS Balanced mode.
HEVC streaming is slightly more efficient than AV1 streaming, but AV1 has higher minimum frame rates.
DLSS is essential for maintaining acceptable frame rates when using high-quality settings.

Recommendations:
For the best possible performance, use DLSS Performance mode and HEVC streaming.
If you are experiencing low frame rates, try using a lower DLSS quality setting or a lower resolution.

Additional Notes:
We used OBS AV1 to record the benchmarks.
Path tracing and ray reconstruction were enabled.
We noticed that the benchmark changes the NPC models every time, which is a nice touch.

We hope this video helps you to choose the best DLSS and streaming settings for your Cyberpunk 2077 experience.

Thank you for tuning in! We hope you enjoyed it! If you did, be sure to give it a thumbs up and please subscribe.
