For me this is Susumu Hirasawa's magnum opus. The song's theme revolves around mandala, a spiritual symbol in various religions. It describes the experience through Naraka, witnessing the screams of thousand burning souls, finding a path to reach unknown paradise that only exists through dreams. You should really find the lyrics of this song and other Hirasawa works. They all connect to Buddhism teachings. This one also references a Chinese fable 桃花源記 (The Peach Blossom Spring).
This chart's intention is to give you that experience. A retribution from one's past life, suffer through the pain of the past to desperately found an escape to an utopia which does not exist in mortal realm. Main inspiration for this chart is L10's old chart in Cytus 1, with a difficulty cranked up by one of the hardest unexplored skillset in Cytus: complex multifinger super long holds. The longest hold note in here is exactly 1 minute 8 seconds in the center. Good luck deciphering a way to pass the patterns.
Mono no Aware (もののあわれ) is a Japanese idiom for knowledge of impermanence. A philosophical concept about the awareness of transient beings and the nature of life, it also describes the song's meaning in a way.
