Daniel Agger Interview about his back trouble 09/10/14
Optimism is to overlook with Daniel Agger when the national football team captain should answer whether he gets his back injury acknowledged for Saturday's European Championship qualifier away to Albania.
- The back has no damn good, says Agger, who did not take part in the national team training in Elsinore this week.
Yet Agger confirms that he travels with Albania.
- I'll try to work out a little today, and then we will see how it looks. I would not bet anything. If I'm ready, I play. If not, I play not. It's very simple.
- It means a lot to me to play on the national team, so I will stretch myself far, says Agger, who for years has had problems with his back.
- It is very frustrating, and we have talked about before. It's the old injury that has teased me for years that teases again.
- It comes sometimes, and all it takes is the time it takes to get ready. It's hard to put a time. Sometimes it takes a few days, sometimes a little longer, says Agger.
Also an ankle injured Simon Kjaer struggling to get ready. Thus, there is doubt about Denmark's normal duo in the middle.
- It's about to get ready yourself first. It's not that I look at Simon and see that because he can not play, then I hasten to get ready, says Agger.
