136This video shows which relics and magic to use to conquer the gates of hell arena. One thing to note is that if you complete the game on the easiest difficulty that is what the gates of hell arena will be set at making the trophy much easier to acquire.
A few tips for anyone having trouble, try to clear each stage without getting hit once so you acquire both of the time bonuses, one for completing the wave and the other for not receiving any damage. The best way to go about doing this is use Divine Shield at max lvl as much as possible. With the "Antony Standard" Relic and "wasted gold" equipped this makes it much quicker to charge up Dante's redemption meter which will cut down on the time significantly especially when fighting those inferno flame enemies. Make sure to have the Ciacco's Bile relic equipped so your Divine Armor will regenerate your HP and MP much quicker.
It is recommend that you max out your holy and unholy tree's, especially if you are playing on harder difficulties so completing "resurrection mode" before coming to the gates of hell arena is advisable.
Also I will note since this was my last thing to do in game not including the DLC, you will notice that I received the platinum, the DLC packs are not necessary for the platinum, but I will also be uploading those as well in future video's.
