A video showing you how to get to Dragon Shrine from Majula in a one way direct path. Note: Obviously you can't do this immediately as you start your game. You have to basically complete the game before you can even get here. First off, you must have defeated the Old Iron King, The Lost Sinner, Freja, and The Rotten or at least have gathered over 1 million souls (before New Game Plus gameplay) total. Next, you'll need a Fragrant Branch of Yore just to pass through the door at 1:05. After that, you'll need to have taken the King's Ring, after defeating Velstadt,The Royal Aegis (very late in the game) just to go through the door at 2:44. Next up, all you'll need is some skills to take on a couple of dragons and you're there. Good Luck!
