This was my first try at fighting Soul of Cinder. It was a close one. I went in not knowing what to expect and was surprised to see movesets from multiple bosses mixed in, including Gwyns. After I had noticed how many of the bosses in the game used fire damage, I went in using the Black Knight Shield for its fire resistance and that's what carried me to victory.

Ironically, this was the only boss in the game I got on my first try. Even the first boss killed me six times as I was new to the mechanics in this game as compared to the other Souls games.

Soul of Cinder was a fun fight. He had so many various attacks that at no point does the fight get repetitive, and the pacing changes often due to the weapon swapping the boss does. Even with that, Pontiff Sulyvahn was my favorite boss fight, and I died around 50 times to him.
