One of my favorite genres created by Valve's Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2), the 'Tide' franchise from developer Fatshark has drawn significant and in many cases directly inspiration from making it one of my all time favorites. Darktide releases millennia after Vermintide where you are part of the Ortho Hereticus, part of the Inquisition of the Imperium of Mankind in service of the God Emperor, the Emperor of Mankind. I'm a big fan of the Warhammer 40k world and although Vermintide games were amazing, moving in into the 40 millennia is probably the coolest change they could make to the 'Tide' franchise for me personally. I'm very excited to share with you my thoughts not only on how well they depict the 40k world and how that actually plays out as a gaming experience but also how well the 'Tide' platform has evolved itself. Fatshark has proven their dedication to making this franchise the best it can be so my expectations are high going into it. Being it's also one of the favorites, I'll be going into detail about the flow, mechanics and balance of the game.
