A complete packing featuring the De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400 ported over (with extensive remastering work) to be made compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release by freeware developer Philippe Marion.
The pack includes a fully functional model along with animations and all the usual things you'd expect with a high-quality freeware pack.
While essentially being a port-over from an FSX model/pack, the developer has stated (and we can confirm) gone to great lengths and much work to make this aircraft as functional and realistic as possible so you are free to use it for planned flights (and not just 10 mins of fun).
The developer states that all of the textures are now DDS DXT5 format - ensuring smooth performance with the new-gen hardware and rendering engines in FS2020. Also upgraded are the transparent windows that now make the interior and cabin visible from the outside.
Custom generated and manually adjusted lighting is included that really bring the aircraft to life when looking at external views when flying at night. All of the files have been optimized and brought up to the new spec.
There are 11 liveries included (and even more created by freeware third-party developers available online).
The liveries included with the base pack are; Base/White C-GKUK, ASky Airlines ET-AQD, Air Baltic YL-BBV (Old Livery), Flybe G-JEDI (Old Livery), Croatia Airlines 9A-CQB, Westjet Encore C-GENU, Qantas Link VH-QOU, Eurowings D-ABQT, Alaska Airlines N448QX, ANA Wings JA841A, and Scandinavian Airlines LN-RDI.
The file is released as freeware which means it is free to download and use.
